The existing facility contains beds and units with levels of acuity from ICU to assisted living and memory care. LMH was engaged to design a 2 story, 20 unit assisted living addition. The units are a mixture of 1 bedroom and studio units with kitchenette, high ceilings, walk-in closets and high end finishes to make the residents feel at home and allow the facility to ease the growing demand for units in this competitive market.
Every project has a unique set of challenges to overcome to be successful. Several of the unique challenges of this addition project were matching the existing facility and fitting within a particularly challenging owner budget. Ultimately, LMH’s extensive code knowledge allowed for the project to be constructed of wood which enabled the construction cost to be brought within the owner’s budget. This expertise and creative vision is what set LMH Architecture apart and led to a successfully completed project.
